The Art of Skillful Living
Mindfulness is the practice of being fully present and alive, body and mind united.
As we start to live life in real-time, as opposed to the virtual reality of the mind, we observe our thoughts, feelings, habits and actions with new clarity. As these skill deepen, we experience the life-changing power of presence. Conditioning begins to unravel, our inner and inter-personal lives transform, and instead of fumbling through the world from a place of habitual reaction, we navigate from a place of skillful response and intention.
Whether in a studio, workplace, or private session, I strive to provide a safe supportive environment for returning to what Tibetans call our natural state: a spacious, friendly, non-judging quality of awareness. Regardless of any previous experience, whether it's your first sit or thousandth, you will feel comfortable and supported.
I teach in a way that interweaves poetry, stories, modern science, philosophy- and humor. Humor is key. So be ready to deepen, open, and discover the life-changing practices of meditation and mindfulness.
There are a variety of skillful means to quiet the mind and open the heart. I offer a variety of meditation practices including:
- Loving Kindness
- Body scan/ Yoga Nidra (yogic sleep)
- Walking meditation

- Mindful listening & non-violent communication
